THE ORDER

Well Thursday 25th April 2002 was the day.  Finally jumped in and made the decision to go for it, rang DJ Sportscars only to find nobody ready to take my money.  Simon duly phoned me back later in the afternoon, five minutes later commitment made.

I paid £200 deposit to confirm a build slot, beginning on 19th August 2002 and arranged (weather permitting) a demonstrator drive in the V8 and MC cars for Saturday 11th May.  I hope to make the engine decision on that day, or soon after and fill in the majority of the order form (at least for the first batch of bits).  After all no going back now! 

With all the sunshine we had during April, it is sad that I won't even start in earnest until almost the autumn.  The book is now open as to when it will be ready for the road, any bets?

The build manual and guide arrived within the week.  First impressions are that despite some nice clear diagrams, there is not nearly as much instruction as I was expecting.  Good job the Daxlist seems so helpful.

Will be going to the Stoneleigh show this weekend, time to start making decisions and look out for some bargains.
